Microdermabrasion works by mixing gentle exfoliation with vacuum suction to remove the "dead" outer layer of skin.

Microdermabrasion is an effective anti-aging treatment that helps soften fine lines and wrinkles, as well as smooth uneven skin texture, decrease pore size, soften the appearance of scars, and lighten superficial hyperpigmentation. As with other skin rejuvenation techniques, more than one treatment is needed.

Microdermabrasion also allows for improved penetration of various infusion solutions and high quality medical grade skin care products into the  layers of the skin. Microdermabrasion improves skin tone. It is also commonly combined with other procedures or treatments, like Dermfrac, to maximize desired results.

Microdermabrasion treatments usually last about 25-30 minutes for patients in our Dallas clinic. Discomfort is minimal and normal activities can be resumed immediately.

Microdermabrasion is a highly effective for treating:

  • fine lines
  • wrinkles
  • scars
  • acne
  • stretch marks

The procedure is performed by using a hand piece that passes over the skin 2-3 times. This evenly removes the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the skin, encourages new cell growth and reveals younger, fresher skin below.

MEGA Microdermabrasion

Crystal-free microdermabrasion allows for a perfect balance of exfoliation without irritation, and without the “mess” associated with crystals. We can boost the microdermabrasion treatment by adding the LED option. We call this our MEGA MICRODERMABRASION. After an extensive skin evaluation by Dr. Kassir, we individualize your treatments to match the exact needs of your skin. We may tailor your treatments by adding appropriate skin care products after mechanical crystal-free microdermabrasion.

From start to finish, you will receive the most benefit for your skin type. By utilizing the ideal combination of tips, vacuum pressure, number of passes, LED light, and skin care, we will help you look and feel confident in your new smoother, radiant skin.

How many Microdermabrasion treatments are needed?

It all depends on your skin condition. Most of our Dallas patients require a minimum of 5-10 treatments spread out about one to two weeks apart. Many patients come for a monthly treatment in order to maintain a youthful skin.

How soon can I expect results with Microdermabrasion?

Results can be seen immediately in the texture and appearance of your skin after the first treatment. However, improvement is obtained after multiple treatments.

What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion works by mixing gentle exfoliation with vacuum suction to remove the "dead" outer layer of skin. The procedure is performed by using a hand piece that passes over the skin 2-3 times. Microdermabrasion is an effective anti-aging treatment that helps soften fine lines and wrinkles, as well as smooth uneven skin texture, decrease pore size, soften the appearance of scars, and lighten superficial hyperpigmentation. It is also beneficial for patients with acne. It removes the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the skin, which encourages new cell growth, revealing younger, fresher skin below.

Will Microdermabrasion help improve oily skin and acne scars?

Microdermabrasion improves oily skin by increasing the cell turn over rate, thus leaving the skin less oily. The treatment also helps sand down and smooth out scars caused by acne. It works by mixing gentle exfoliation with vacuum suction to remove the "dead" outer layer of skin. This treatment is used along with other procedures for optimal results and is safe to use on all skin types.
